Welcome to the Midwest Arts in Healthcare Network (MAIHN)
A coalition of healthcare providers, artists, and community members working together to integrate the arts into the world of health and healing.
Founded in 2006 and based in the Twin Cities, our region encompasses Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa. We communicate through Google Groups and meet on the third Thursdays of January, March, May, July, September and November. Meetings focus on education, advocacy and sharing and take place at a variety of settings including the Guthrie Theater, Northern Clay Center, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Hennepin County Medical Center, VSA Arts of Minnesota, Spectrum Community Mental Health, Bethesda Hospital, Hudson Hospital, Boynton Health Services and COMPAS - Community Programs in the Arts. If you're interested in promoting the arts in healthcare we invite you to attend our meetings or become a member.
